Exmouth is popular for its sandy beach and diverse wildlife but beneath local waters also lies an array of colourful creatures that might surprise some.

Steve Pease has been photographing sea life in Budleigh for eight years and his hobby has revealed a curiously colourful underwater world, teeming with life.

Steve has also captured the ocean’s life in motion in a series of videos shared on social media, including this one, which shows the curious crustaceans and fabulous fish living in our local waters.

Steve said: “It opens up a completely different, new world – it’s just sheer beauty. You wouldn’t believe you are paddling near them.”
