'Appy Angus from World of Country Life presents pupils from years three and four at Marpool Primary School with art challenge prizes.

Year three and four pupils from Marpool Primary School had a surprise today when Graham from the World of Country Life paid a visit to the school, accompanied by Billy the goat and ‘Appy Angus, the park’s mascot.

‘Appy Angus had heard about the school’s recent art challenge, which was run in partnership with Enjoy Exmouth More, and had wanted to give the winners a prize each for their wonderful pictures.

The pupils were set the task of drawing something that they love about Exmouth and we saw over 50 pictures, ranging from the clock tower to the beach huts. You can see all of the entries from the pupils here: Marpool art challenge entries.

All of the pictures went through a public vote via the Enjoy Exmouth More Facebook group to choose the top ten drawings. These were then voted on by the school pupils, who chose their favourite three pictures (there was a three-way tie for third place).

‘Appy Angus presented the winners with a certificate and a day pass to the park to enjoy with their families. See the top ten voted-for pictures here: Marpool art challenge winners.
